Anaemia is a condition in which the body lacks red blood cells (RBCs) and is unable to fulfill its oxygen needs. It may result from severe blood loss or from a deficiency or destruction of red blood cells.
Anaemia causes fatigue, weakness, pale skin, loss of appetite, irregular heartbeats, frequent headaches, difficulty concentrating, irritability, breathlessness, cracked tongue, and sudden drops in blood pressure after standing from a seated or lying position.
Anemia can be treated with homeopathic medicines such as pulsatilla pratensis, ferrum metallicum, calotropis gigantea, picricum acidum, cyclamen europaeum, natrium muriaticum, phosphorus, calcarea phosphorica, and arsenicum album.
The conditions that may lead to anaemia are :
Colon cancer
Heavy periods
Sickle cell anaemia
Iron deficiency
Infections like malaria and dengue
Bone marrow disorders like leukaemia
Inherited disorders like aplastic anaemia
Thalassemia
Deficiency of folic acid or vitamin B12
Ulcers and chronic inflammation of the digestive tract
